The song's popularity reached massive proportions in other parts of the earth, especially Germany, where the Branigan reading of "Gloria" sabbatum at the telephone number 1 posture piece the original Italian reading held the telephone number 2 position. 1983's Branigan 2 spawned some other two sizable U.S. hit singles with "Solitaire" and "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" (the latter of which was co-written by a then-unknown Michael Bolton), spell she besides appeared on the strike soundtrack to Flashdance that same year with the lead "Imaging."

Why a Tiny New Production Company Might Be Taking Up Carrie Bradshaws Mantle

Courtesy of New Line

Remember just a few months ago when Sex and the City came out and when the media was all "This just in: Women go to the movies, too"? It was shocking "This is well beyond my expectations," number-cruncher Paul Dergarabedian told the Daily News but then no one in Hollywood seemed to do anything about it. Leave it to the New Yorkers! According to The Hollywood Reporter, a Tribeca-based production company is launching that aims to "develop a slate of sophisticated and uplifting romantic comedies and dramas," and lest you misunderstand the target viewer, the company is called Princess Productions. The team is already at work on four adaptations and an original screenplay, starting with My Legendary Girlfriend, based on Mike Gayle's novel about "a prep school teacher who self-imposes a deadline to get over his girlfriend, who haunts his every move three years after their breakup." Other prospective titles include Wolves in Chic Clothing and Strapless.

So what? New production companies crop up all the time. But it's worth noting that even in the wake of Sex and the City's success, the studios haven't exactly been falling all over themselves to green-light more upscale, woman-centric comedies. They barely know how to release the ones they've already made! So if Princess has success raising capital for their modestly budgeted movies at a time when other, more prominent New York producers are facing money troubles it might suggest that at least someone in the movie business is heeding the lessons of Carrie Bradshaw. Lori Fradkin

Former 'EastEnders' actress Natalie Cassidy has said that she missed working with soap stars Patsy Palmer and Sid Owen during their absence from Albert Square.
The 24-year-old star, who recently left her role as Sonia Fowler in the soap, told The Sun that she would have loved to be on set when the two stars returned.
Cassidy said: "It was frustrating they came back after I left. It would have been great to work with Patsy again."
Speaking about her own decision to leave the show, she said: "I feel like that door's closed now and I need to go and do other stuff."
However, the actress didn't rule out a return to the soap in the future, saying: "Bianca and Ricky have been gone for nine years. They've gone out, done their stuff and come back. Maybe in nine years I might go back."

Hillary Clinton Urges Supporters To Rally Behind Barack Obama, But Has Not Yet Released Delegates

A day after telling disappointed supporters that she needed some time to figure out what to do next, Senator Hillary Clinton has announced that she will endorse Democratic nominee Senator Barack Obama at an event in Washington, D.C. on Saturday. But after a hard fought campaign that ended with Obama's slim victory following Tuesday's final two primaries, Clinton still seems to be keeping her options open and has not yet agreed to release her delegates to Obama.

"On Saturday, I will extend my congratulations to Senator Obama and my support for his candidacy," Clinton wrote in an e-mail sent to supporters early Thursday morning. "This has been a long and hard-fought campaign, but as I have always said, my differences with Senator Obama are small compared to the differences we have with Senator McCain and the Republicans. I have said throughout the campaign that I would strongly support Senator Obama if he were the Democratic Party's nominee, and I intend to deliver on that promise."

Clinton faced harsh criticism from some quarters following her speech Tuesday night in New York, during which she congratulated Obama for his tough campaigning but did not concede that he had won the nomination or make reference to the historic nature of his victory. The New York Times reported that the decision to endorse Obama at the event on Saturday came after leading Democrats urged her on Wednesday to bow out of the race in order to allow the party to throw its support behind the first-term senator from Illinois.

At Saturday's rally, she is expected to concede defeat, congratulate Obama and proclaim him the party's nominee, the paper reported, adding that some of Clinton's fundraisers would be moving to the Obama campaign, while others were still holding back to see what Clinton plans to do next. By suspending but not ending her campaign, Clinton can continue to raise money as she tries to pay down the millions of dollars in debt her 16-month bid to become the first female president has accumulated.

The writing on the wall became clearer for Clinton on Wednesday morning, when four top Democrats, including party chairman Howard Dean, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Harry Reid urged all uncommitted delegates to make their decisions by Friday.

"The voters have spoken," they said in a statement. "Democrats must now turn our full attention to the general election."

While talk has swirled for months about a possible Obama/Clinton ticket, it became clear Wednesday that the Illinois senator was casting a wider net by setting up a three-member vice-presidential selection committee that includes Caroline Kennedy. (Read more about what Obama's next steps might be here.)

Clinton said she'd speak on Saturday about how the party and her supporters now need to rally behind Obama. "The stakes are too high and the task before us too important to do otherwise," she wrote.

Russell Crowe - Crowes Fears Over Scott Movie

RUSSELL CROWE is desperate to start filming his new movie NOTTINGHAM - but fears it will be delayed if a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) strike gets the go-ahead.

The actor is teaming up with his favoured director Sir Ridley Scott for the upcoming picture, but it has not been given a date for filming because of a looming SAG strike.

He says, "Given that there is still the possibility of a SAG strike, it is not certain when Nottingham would begin. But Sir Ridley is planning on completing it this year."

In the movie, Crowe plays the Sheriff of Nottingham in a different take on the classic tale of Robin Hood.

The union is currently locked in negotiations with Hollywood bosses in a dispute over pay and conditions. If the talks fail to be resolved, the film and TV industry could be crippled by walkouts - much like last year's (07) writers strike.

A source close to the couple told Showbiz Spy: “Gabriel felt the time was right to propose. He gave her the family heirloom because he wanted to show her how much she means to him, and how she will be accepted into the Aubry family.”

“The ring belonged to Gabriel’s grandmother – it was her engagement ring.”

Is her engagement ring as impressive as these sparklers?

Indiana Jones - Indiana Jones Sequel Was 14 Years In The Making

Work on the new INDIANA JONES movie started 14 years ago, when HARRISON FORD first told director STEVEN SPIELBERG he wanted to make another movie.

It has taken more than a decade to bring the swashbuckling adventure to the big screen, because Spielberg and producer pal George Lucas couldn't agree on a storyline.

Spielberg reveals the pair are perfectionists and refused to begin shooting Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull until they were satisfied they had created a hit.

He says, "Harrison presented me with the Best Picture Oscar for Schindler's List in 1994, and when we went backstage, he said he was ready to make another Indiana Jones movie. The development started soon afterward."

Explaining why it took so long, he adds, "It had to be right."
